Learning To Use My Camera

I signed up to take some basic photography lessons from my good friend Kelly, who incidentally is going to do other sessions of this same class so if you're interested - check out her blog, or email her. Up until today, I was pretty frustrated, thinking I was never going to "get it".

Today I took SP on an outing and tried to put into affect some of what I'd learned so far. Considering I took probably about 30 pictures and I'm only really pleased with a small handful, I still consider it successful.

Here are a few "wall-worthy" ones:

And you only took 30 shots. I think that is most excellent. They really are beautiful shots. I LOVE the first one, and the second, and the third, and the fourth. Ah, heck...they are all great.

They are so lovely. I especially love the first one. It needs to be on a wall.

I told her she needs to condense her lesson for an online format--or even use a webcam...I'd pay for that! You did an amazing job. I can even see a touch of Kelly in the scene...you know, she's got that look!

You're kidding about "learning" to use the camera, right?

The photos are original, creative, sweet, amazing!

Those are beautiful photos! Where did you get the headband that SP is wearing? I'd love to get one for Kaitlyn.

Elizabeth, I got that headband at a boutique place here in SLC called Gardner Village. But they're really popular right now and I'll bet you could find something really similar on Etsy - in fact I'm sure of it. you can also visit www.posies.com. They have a bunch of these types of headbands - and the flowers detach and you can put different ones on the bands.
